Search for an uncensored AI video generator and you will find two kinds of results: mainstream tools that quietly filter everything past a swimsuit, and affiliate listicles promising "no restrictions" from tools that absolutely have restrictions. To be fair to all four: they are excellent tools for what they are built for, and their policies are rational responses to real legal risk. But if "uncensored" is the requirement, none of them qualify, and no prompt phrasing changes that - the filters are server-side and non-negotiable.

The Genuinely Uncensored Path: Open Models Run Locally

The only category with zero content filtering is open-weight models running on hardware you control. There is no server, so there is no policy. Three families matter in 2026:

Wan 2.2 (Alibaba) is the most accessible. The 5B variant runs on an 8 GB card with quantization, the 14B variant produces noticeably better motion but realistically wants 16-24 GB, and the Apache 2.0 license is as permissive as it gets.

HunyuanVideo (Tencent) originally needed 24 GB+ even with optimizations, but HunyuanVideo 1.5 slimmed down to 8.3B parameters and runs on around 14 GB with FP8. Read the community license before commercial use - it is not Apache.

LTX (Lightricks) is the speed champion. The original LTX-Video 2B model famously ran near-realtime on modest cards. The current LTX-2.3 generation is a much bigger model - the full weights are datacenter territory, while distilled and quantized builds come down to high-end consumer GPUs - as of this writing, published ComfyUI guidance puts the floor around 16 GB VRAM plus a lot of system RAM.

The honest caveats: base models are not trained primarily for explicit content, so the community fine-tunes and LoRAs do a lot of the lifting; setup means ComfyUI, model files in the tens of gigabytes, and real troubleshooting time; and a several-second clip can take minutes to render on consumer hardware.
