Is this a chatbot or a story?

A story. Replies are roleplay: spoken lines in quotes, actions and narration in asterisks. Every character has her own writing style from the series - vocabulary, rhythm, humor - plus motives and flaws from canon. She never writes your side.
Which anime characters can I chat and roleplay with?

Every character in the anime catalog - 1,400+ across 200+ series, male characters included, each on her own trained model so every scene looks like her. Fictional characters only; realistic characters come later.
Can I write my own story?

Yes. A story is a title, a starting location and a premise. Save it privately and use it with any character. Stories are encrypted in your browser before they are saved.
How do the scene images work?

Two ways. On any reply that describes something visible you can hit Generate scene, and it is drawn from the literal words of that reply. Or she takes a photo in the story herself. Both use the same character model as the anime generator and cost 5 credits; anything that fails to render is refunded.
Is the AI roleplay really uncensored, with no filter?

Yes. No keyword blocklists, no content-policy refusals, no chatbot breaking character to lecture you. The only limits are the ones the law puts on us - they are in our acceptable use policy.
Can you read my roleplay chats?

No. What you save - stories, conversations, scene state - is encrypted in your browser before it is stored, and only your password opens it. We hold ciphertext and nothing readable. The flip side: we cannot reset that password for you either.
Can I use it as an AI girlfriend chat?

If that is the story you pick, yes - "Quiet evening" and "Unexpected roommates" are exactly that. But it is not a girlfriend app: the same character can be your rival or your quest companion. You set the story.
Is this a Character AI alternative with no filter?

Yes. Character.AI filters and breaks character to enforce it; we do not filter. Character.AI gives you text next to a static avatar; we draw the actual character in the scene. And Character.AI can read your chats; ours are encrypted before they are saved.
Can I build my own character or upload a photo?

Not yet. Anime characters from the catalog come first; your own characters - an uploaded reference or a private Character Card - are the last item on the roadmap above. Writing your own story is in from the start.
